KUOPIO FILM FESTIVAL takes place annually at the arthouse cinema Kino Kuvakukko, at the very Heart of the City

Kuopio’s most traditional Film Festival ”Vilimit” (37th year on 2024!) , the dates are: 26 – 29 September 2024 📽🎞🍿
🕺 This year, the theme of Vilimit is SCIENCE . There will be various film genres represented (drama, documentary, horror, comedy/horror, sci-fi, anime, animation..) -and ALL (except for one the Norwegian animated film Titina, dubbed into Finnish) the films are film copies with ORIGINAL LANGUAGES.

Kuopio’s traditional Film Festival Vilimit 28.9.-1.10.2023
On 2023, The theme of Vilimit is movement. There will be dance, oriental martial arts, pantomime and other movement at Kino Kuvakukko, Vuorikatu 27.
The selection of movement-themed films has moved wildly and freely, with an age span of almost 100 years. The oldest film in the programme dates back to 1926 (A Page of Madness, the opening film with LIVE screening), while the latest will premiere this autumn (Dancing Queen, the winning film of the 2023 Seattle Film Festival).
